Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required for access consultants to work safely at client work sites. This primarily involves identifying and following the requirements of work health and safety (WHS) duty of care legislation. Access consultants should be able to demonstrate the required technical skills and knowledge prior to entering the site for the purposes of access consulting.The unit supports the full range of access consulting services. It applies to access consultants required to visit sites where WHS arrangements are already established and must be followed.No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency at the time of endorsement. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. The following must be present and available to learners during assessment activities: equipment: PPE specified in the range of conditions computer with internet access to source and retrieve safety information prior to site visit specifications: standards, codes and legislation specified in the range of conditions relationships with site management, including: site managers site supervisors. Assessor requirements As a minimum, assessors must satisfy the assessor requirements in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) current at the time of assessment. |
